Jared Rich Counseling
Results-driven therapy for individuals and couples who want change.
At Jared Rich Counseling in Murray, Utah, I help couples break out of painful cycles and help individuals untangle chronic anxiety. Using evidence-based frameworks like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I provide grounded, practical counseling in-person and through telehealth across Utah.
Moving You From Conflict To Connection
At Jared Rich Counseling, I specialize in helping couples build safe and lasting bonds. If you want to strengthen your relationship, but feel stuck, I can help.
Most of my clients find me after years of trying to work it out themselves - and feeling hopeless after having the same dead-end conversations, the same fights, over and over again. Many have already tried couples therapy, but gave up after it either went nowhere, or one partner felt ganged up on.
Therapy with me is different. I have extensive training and experience in the gold-standard model in couples work, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I don’t take sides. I keep sessions structured and focused on what is proven to make the biggest difference.
We are wired for connection. You don’t have to be stuck in a painful marriage. A secure relationship feels like a safe haven, a sanctuary to turn to for comfort.
I would love to help you create it.
Help with Anxiety and Depression
At Jared Rich Counseling, I also specialize in helping individuals with anxiety or depression to gain distance from their obsessive, negative thoughts and get their lives back on track.
The vast majority of my clients find me after years of unsuccessfully trying medications, positive thinking, and various forms of distraction in an attempt to beat their negative thinking. Many tried therapy that turned into endless sessions of talking about problems or exploring the past, with no clear direction for creating change.
I take a different approach. Therapy with me is experiential and active, meaning that you’ll feel change happening in session, and have actionable tools you can apply to your life right away.
Let’s create the change you deserve.
Meet Jared Rich
Good therapy requires more than clinical theory; it requires a therapist who is comfortable sitting with the messiness of real human emotion.
Since 2008, I’ve guided people through the uncomfortable, vulnerable work of honest communication—from leading intensive process groups at Two Arrows Zen Center to founding a long-running men’s group in Salt Lake City. That background shaped how I show up in the room: attentive, compassionate, and unshakeable in the face of conflict or vulnerability.
In sessions, I bring that nearly twenty-year foundation of experiential work to the table. I offer a steady, non-judgmental space where you can drop the armor, say what is actually true, and do the work of real change.
